What can 15 billion pesos buy?

I write this as the Philippines is going through a corruption scandal. Top officials of PhilHealth, a government owned corporation meant to implement universal healthcare for Filipinos, have been accused of putting 15 billion pesos (309, 392, 250 USD) in their pockets. That much money is beyond our imagination. So I decided to create some infographs to help us understand how big that money is.

What can 15 billion pesos buy? If these funds have been used to solve the pandemic, would it have made a difference to people’s lives? Would it have saved the country from so much deaths? We need to be more vigilant, we need to stay angry, and we need to demand justice from these funds that have benefited a few individuals when it could have been used for the Filipino public.
